Extension of the Closure of Syrian Airspace and Airports for an Additional 24 Hours

The General Authority for Civil Aviation and Air Transport announced the extension of the closure of the airspace of the Syrian Arab Republic to all aircraft movements, in addition to closing all Syrian airports to takeoffs and landings, for an additional 24 hours starting from 00:00 AM today, Sunday, March 1, 2026, Damascus time.

The authority clarified that developments will be monitored continuously and around the clock during the closure, with any updates or subsequent decisions being issued as soon as they are available, ensuring the safety of air traffic in Syrian airspace.
