Israel strikes Hodeidah port.. and the messages go beyond Yemen

The Israeli army announced on Tuesday that it carried out airstrikes targeting what it described as "military infrastructure" belonging to the Houthi group in Hodeidah port in western Yemen, in a new escalation on the Red Sea front.
The army stated in a statement: "We attacked the military infrastructure of the Houthi terrorist regime in Hodeidah port, which is used to transport Iranian weapons used to carry out terrorist plans against Israel and its allies," adding that the strikes come in response to "the repeated attacks led by the Houthis, using drones and ground-to-ground missiles towards Israeli territory."
According to local sources, about 12 Israeli airstrikes targeted three docks in the vital port, while Israeli Channel 12 reported from a security source that the aim of the operation is to "disrupt the activity of Hodeidah port for additional weeks."
The Israeli army also issued an "urgent warning" advising civilians and docked ships to stay out of the port, confirming that anyone present in the area "puts their life at risk."
These strikes come amid the Houthis continuing to attack commercial and military ships in the Red Sea, as part of "support for the Palestinian resistance in Gaza," alongside launching missiles towards Israel, which intercepts most of them with its air defenses.
With this operation, Israel opens a new round of confrontation with the Houthis, in one of the most dangerous fronts linked to the Gaza war, with implications for the security of international navigation in the Red Sea.
