Israel continues its airstrikes on Gaza despite announcing a ceasefire

Media reports indicate that Israeli forces continue to carry out airstrikes on various areas in the Gaza Strip, despite the announcement of an agreement to cease hostilities last night.
The reports clarified that Israeli warplanes executed a series of airstrikes in the northern part of Gaza City, targeting the Al-Jalaa and Al-Nafaq areas and the west of the city, while drones dropped "Quadcopter" bombs on the neighborhoods of Al-Sabra, Al-Thalathini, and Tal Al-Hawa. The northern and northwestern areas of Gaza also faced heavy shelling.
The reports mentioned casualties and injuries due to Israeli shelling targeting a group of citizens near the Al-Sharq bakery on Al-Jalaa Street. Additionally, shelling early this morning on the homes of the Al-Mazloom and Al-Rafati families in the Al-Tuffah neighborhood in the northeastern part of the city resulted in the deaths of six Palestinians, along with injuries and missing persons under the rubble.
In Khan Younis in the southern part of the Strip, medical sources at Nasser Medical Complex confirmed the death of two children and injuries to several others due to drone strikes targeting a tent for displaced persons in the Al-Mawasi area, while the Al-Bureij camp in central Gaza witnessed intense artillery shelling.
In a related context, the Israeli army issued an urgent warning to residents, advising them to stay away from northern Gaza Valley, labeling it as a "dangerous combat area," and urging civilians to move south via Al-Rashid Street. It confirmed that its forces are still encircling Gaza City, warning against attempts to return.
These developments come despite Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's announcement of a de facto ceasefire in Gaza, and Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir's directive to raise readiness to implement the first phase of U.S. President Donald Trump's plan for the release of prisoners.
Netanyahu's office announced that Israel is working in full coordination with the Trump administration to end the war according to the agreed principles.
For its part, Hamas confirmed that it has delivered its official response to the mediators regarding Trump's plan, announcing its agreement to hand over the administration of the Gaza Strip to a Palestinian body of independent technocrats, based on national consensus and Arab and Islamic support.
In contrast, U.S. President Donald Trump stated that Hamas has expressed readiness to achieve "lasting peace," calling on Israel to immediately cease its bombing of Gaza.
