Iranian Missiles Strike Tel Aviv: One Dead and Dozens Injured

Tel Aviv witnessed a series of Iranian missile attacks yesterday morning, in response to a joint military operation carried out by Israel and the United States against Iran.
The attacks resulted in the death of an Israeli woman and the injury of 21 people, including two in critical condition, while the area experienced widespread destruction.
Israeli media reported that at least one missile fell near the Israeli Ministry of Defense "Kirya" in central Tel Aviv, while sirens sounded in the greater Tel Aviv area, Ashkelon, Block Dan, Ashdod, Shafli, and Yavne, accompanied by successive explosions.
Reports indicated that the injuries included 16 minor cases, 3 moderate, and two between critical and severe.
For its part, the Iranian news agency "Tasnim" reported that more than 90% of the Iranian missiles launched towards Israel hit their targets, noting that the missiles used were of the "Fateh" hypersonic type.
Israeli journalists circulated footage on social media showing the extensive destruction, with massive fires and dozens of vehicles ablaze in the targeted area.
* Response from the United States and Israel
Earlier, U.S. President Donald Trump announced that the U.S. military had launched a large-scale operation against Iran, targeting its nuclear and missile programs and destroying its naval forces.
For his part, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu confirmed that his country, in cooperation with the United States, had begun an operation to eliminate the Iranian threat.
* Iranian Statements
The Iranian Revolutionary Guard announced a large-scale retaliatory operation, confirming the launch of missiles and drones towards Tel Aviv, in addition to targeting U.S. bases in the region.
The Iranian ambassador to the United Nations stated that all bases and facilities of the "hostile power" should be considered legitimate military targets.
This development comes hours after the joint military operation carried out by Israel and the United States against Iran, putting the region on high alert amid serious escalation involving hypersonic missiles and mutual threats between the two countries.
