Iran Rejects Trump's Call for Dialogue: America's Behavior is Hostile and Unacceptable

In a new escalation of tensions between Washington and Tehran, the Iranian Foreign Ministry rejected U.S. President Donald Trump's statements in which he called for dialogue with Iran, describing them as "contradictory" to what it termed his "hostile and criminal behavior" against the Islamic Republic.
The Iranian response came a day after Trump's speech before the Israeli Knesset, where he announced his country's readiness to strike a deal with Iran, asserting that "the hand of friendship and cooperation is extended".
* "False and Irresponsible Statements"
In a statement published on its official website, the Iranian Foreign Ministry described Trump's remarks as "false and irresponsible", considering that the United States "lacks any moral legitimacy to accuse others", especially since it is "the biggest supporter of the Israeli regime accused of committing genocide", according to the statement.
Tehran also strongly criticized Trump's speech in the Knesset, in which he called on Iran to "make a fundamental change in its foreign policy", accusing it of supporting terrorism, threatening its neighbors, funding armed groups, and not recognizing Israel's right to exist.
* Trump: We Are Ready to Lift Sanctions
In subsequent statements during his visit to Egypt, the U.S. president clarified that his country is ready to lift the sanctions imposed on Tehran if the Iranian leadership shows a willingness to negotiate, expressing confidence that "an agreement will ultimately be reached because the Iranian leadership wants it", as he described.
Trump added: "The United States and Israel are not enemies of the Iranian people. We just want to live in peace".
* Joint Bombing and Nuclear Escalation
It is worth noting that the United States participated last June alongside Israel in bombing Iranian nuclear facilities, a move that came after five rounds of indirect talks between Washington and Tehran faltered due to fundamental disagreements over the uranium enrichment issue.
Western powers accuse Iran of seeking to acquire nuclear weapons, a charge that Tehran denies, asserting that its nuclear program is solely for civilian purposes.
