Internal Security Dismantles Arms Smuggling Network Linked to QSD, Sweida, and ISIS in Qudsaya

Brigadier Ahmad Al-Dalati, the head of internal security in the Rural Damascus Governorate, announced on Saturday that specialized security units, in cooperation with the internal security leadership in the Daraa Governorate, carried out a wide-ranging security operation in the Qudsaya area, resulting in the arrest of five individuals involved in smuggling arms for lawless groups in Sweida and QSD areas, in addition to cells linked to the ISIS terrorist organization.

Al-Dalati explained that the operation came after receiving accurate information about suspicious activity in one of the farms, prompting the security force to immediately move to the site and impose a tight cordon before executing the raid.

During the search, FPV drones with complete equipment were seized, along with one and a half tons of TNT, and anti-personnel bombs weighing two kilograms each, which were prepared for use in suicide drones.

The authorities confirmed that all seized items were confiscated completely, while the detainees were referred to the relevant authorities to continue investigations in preparation for their referral to the judiciary to take legal action against them.
