Doha Hosts a Preparatory Ministerial Meeting for an Emergency Arab Islamic Summit

The preparatory ministerial meeting for the emergency Arab Islamic summit was held in Doha on Sunday, chaired by Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, with the participation of Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Asaad Al-Shibani, alongside the foreign ministers of the member states of the Arab League and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.
The meeting aims to finalize preparations for the summit scheduled to be held on Monday, which came at the invitation of the State of Qatar "following the Israeli aggression that took place on the ninth of September, targeting the residence of several leaders of the 'Hamas' movement in Doha, which sparked a wave of widespread condemnation in Arab and Islamic circles," according to the Qatar News Agency "QNA".
The agenda of the meeting focuses on discussing the draft final statement of the summit, which is expected to "include condemnation of the Israeli aggression and rejection of the violation of the sovereignty of the State of Qatar, along with affirming Arab and Islamic solidarity in the face of Israeli escalation".
The attendees also seek to "formulate a unified position that reflects the unity of the Arab and Islamic ranks, with an emphasis on the importance of diplomatic coordination in international forums".
