Damascus .. Lawyers file a lawsuit against the woman who attacked a traffic officer and the Interior Ministry takes action

The lawyers Adel Khlyan and Nour Bakr filed a lawsuit against Mrs. Brivan Kordo after she attacked a traffic officer in the Sabaa Bahrat Square in Damascus, after parking her car in a prohibited area.
According to "Syrian Television", the lawsuit clarified that the charges include inciting sectarian and religious tensions under Article 307 of the Penal Code, and defamation and slander under Article 373, following the woman's appearance in a video where she directed offensive remarks towards the Alawite sect during the incident.
Lawyer Adel Khlyan explained to Syrian Television that the aim of the lawsuit is to deter any assault on public employees and to protect their dignity, emphasizing that the law protects freedom of expression as long as it remains within the bounds of others' rights.
In turn, the Interior Ministry has taken the necessary legal measures, as Mrs. Kordo and the officer Nader Al-Ahmad were summoned to record their statements and present them to the judiciary.
The director of the media office in the ministry reported that a number of citizens filed complaints condemning the assault and demanded accountability to ensure it does not happen again.
Syrian Television also reported that attempts were made to contact Mrs. Kordo to understand the reasons for filming the video and her justifications, but her phone number was turned off, and her "WhatsApp" account does not receive messages.
