Axios: US Official Says We Are Close to an Agreement to Halt Escalation Between Syria and Israel

Axios website quoted a senior US official as saying today, Wednesday, that we are very close to an agreement leading to a halt in escalation between Israel and Syria.

This comes after the Israeli airstrikes on the General Staff building in central Damascus, which Israel described as "warnings" to the Syrian government to withdraw from the province of Al-Suwayda in southern Syria.
