America Threatens to Apply the Death Penalty in the Assassination Case of Charlie Kirk and Warns Foreigners Justifying Violence

In the aftermath of the incident that shook the United States, American authorities announced their readiness to apply the death penalty in the assassination case of prominent conservative political activist, Charlie Kirk.
Kirk (31 years old) was shot in the neck during an outdoor event at Utah Valley University on Wednesday and died from his injuries despite attempts to save him. A video from the event site showed Kirk bleeding profusely from the gunshot wound.
The search for the shooter is still ongoing. American authorities revealed on Thursday that they believe the sniper who assassinated the activist jumped from the roof of a building and fled to a neighborhood after firing from a distance of 200 meters, and his identity has not yet been determined. Meanwhile, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) announced that the weapon used in the attack has been found and released the first image of the suspect.
For his part, Utah Governor Spencer Cox announced, "Forensic evidence is currently being prepared in the assassination incident." Cox confirmed in his statement that "authorities are ready to apply the death penalty in the assassination case of the activist," emphasizing that "there is a lot of misleading information on social media regarding the crime." He also stated that "investigations will release images and videos regarding the suspect in the assassination of Charlie Kirk."
In parallel with the security developments, the U.S. Department of State issued a stern warning to foreigners about the consequences of justifying violence online.
On Thursday, Deputy Secretary of State Christopher Landau wrote on the platform "X": "In light of the horrific assassination of a prominent political figure yesterday, I want to emphasize that foreigners who glorify violence and hatred are not welcome visitors in our country." Landau did not mention Kirk by name.
Landau added in his post: "I am disgusted that some social media users sought to justify the act or downplay it," noting that he "instructed consular officials to take action," without providing specific details. He also urged people to report to him directly any comments made by foreigners so that the State Department can "protect the American people," but he did not mention any specific cases.
It is worth noting that Charlie Kirk was a prominent supporter of President Donald Trump and was known for his speaking skills. He co-founded the organization "Turning Point USA" in 2012 to promote conservative views among young people, which made him a prominent spokesperson for the far-right.
