The Algerian presidency announced today, Sunday, the appointment of Saifi Gharib as Acting Prime Minister (President of the Council of Ministers), and tasked him with forming a new government, following the decision of President Abdelmadjid Tebboune to make a government reshuffle.
The new government formation is as follows:
Ahmed Ataf: Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad and African Affairs.
Saïd Chengriha: Minister Delegate to the Minister of National Defense, Chief of Staff of the People's National Army.
Mohamed Arkab: Minister of State, Minister of Hydrocarbons and Mines.
Ibrahim Mourad: Minister of State, in charge of the inspection of state services and local communities.
Saïd Sayoud: Minister of Interior, Local Communities, and Transport.
Lotfi Boujemaa: Minister of Justice, Keeper of the Seals.
Abdel Karim Bouzerd: Minister of Finance.
Kamal Bedari: Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
