University of Aleppo Achieves Historic Milestone by Entering Times Global Impact Ranking 2025

The University of Aleppo has succeeded in making its first appearance in the Times Global Impact Ranking 2025, which evaluates universities' contribution to achieving the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals, ranking 1501 globally out of 2318 participating universities.

The university's president, Dr. Osama Raadoun, stated to SANA agency that this achievement crowns the university's efforts in meeting the global ranking criteria, considering this distinction a reflection of the university's outstanding performance in industry, innovation, and infrastructure after achieving the 800th position globally, in addition to being ranked among the top 1001 universities in gender equality and within the top 1500 universities in partnership indicators for goal achievement.

Raadoun explained that the university's entry into such global rankings complements the development journey it has witnessed after the liberation of Syria, pointing out that cooperation between students, faculty members, and administration was a key factor in achieving this milestone.

He also highlighted that the university continues to enhance its international presence by expanding its academic partnership network, having signed agreements with leading universities in 40 countries, with expectations that the number of these agreements will reach 80 in the coming months, covering areas of student exchange, scientific research, and academic cooperation.

This ranking is considered one of the most prominent global indicators highlighting the role of universities in supporting the Sustainable Development Agenda, demonstrating the advanced position that the University of Aleppo now holds on the international academic map.
