The Real Estate Bank has raised the withdrawal limit for ATM and POS cards to 1.8 million Syrian pounds weekly, based on the available liquidity at the branch. According to a circular issued by the Real Estate Bank, the cash withdrawal limit at branches is set at five million pounds for individuals weekly, and ten million pounds for companies, institutions, and associations based on available liquidity. Public sector institutions and private sector salary transfers are exempt from the withdrawal and transfer limits, subject to official approvals and documents, and transfers between private sector companies with updated commercial records accompanied by documents proving the economic justification for the transfer are also exempt. The circular specifies that internal transfers are limited to one transfer per day, with a ceiling of 5 million pounds, and withdrawals cannot be made from them before five working days have passed. External transfers do not allow the retransfer of any amount as an internal transfer from external transfer amounts, and withdrawals are made exclusively by the account holder, with no withdrawals allowed from the transfer before five working days have passed. The Real Estate Bank emphasized that humanitarian cases are exempt from the transfer operations with the approval of the bank's general manager, after verifying all related documents, stating that this circular aims to regulate cash withdrawal operations of all kinds and the criteria for opening current accounts.
