For his part, the Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council, Jassim Al-Budaiwi, emphasized his strong condemnation and denunciation of the riots and the attack on the embassy's property and the residence of the head of the mission, calling on the relevant authorities in Syria to hold the perpetrators accountable and ensure the protection of diplomatic buildings in accordance with international norms and treaties.

According to security sources, dozens of protesters attempted to storm the embassy after separating from a larger pro-Palestinian demonstration in Al-Omari Square, but Syrian security forces intervened and prevented the storming, handling the incident to ensure the safety of the building and its staff.
