Abdul Qadir Hasriya: Removing two zeros from the Syrian currency is a reform step that does not affect its real value

Hasriya explained that removing the zeros does not mean a change in the purchasing power of the currency, but rather represents a formal adjustment in the nominal value that facilitates daily accounting and commercial operations, and keeps pace with developments in the monetary policy in the country.
He pointed out that the new currency has been entirely designed by Syrian hands, away from political symbols, and possesses high-security specifications, while the printing stages are being completed in cooperation with specialized companies to ensure quality.
This step comes as part of a comprehensive vision to restore balance to the Syrian economy and control the monetary mass without issuing additional money, while emphasizing that every citizen will be able to register the amounts for exchange in advance to facilitate the withdrawal process.
