Iranian media reported today, Friday, an earthquake measuring 5.5 on the Richter scale in central Iran, felt by the residents of the capital, Tehran.
The Iranian news agency, IRNA, mentioned that the earthquake, measuring 5.5 on the Richter scale, occurred 17 kilometers south of the city of Semnan, near Tehran.
The U.S. Geological Survey reported an earthquake measuring 5.1 in northern Iran.
