Various areas of the West Bank witnessed a new escalation in settler attacks on Saturday, as a correspondent for Al Jazeera reported that groups of settlers attacked Palestinian homes in the Qareinat area of Surif town, north of Hebron, causing panic among the residents, amid a complete absence of intervention by the occupation forces.
In another field development, violent clashes erupted between Palestinian youths and Israeli occupation forces during their incursion into Beta town south of Nablus, where the forces used tear gas and rubber bullets to disperse the protesters, resulting in cases of suffocation and bruises.
Settlers also attacked Palestinian homes in the village of Al-Minya southeast of Bethlehem, in an assault described by the locals as a new attempt to impose a settler reality by force, amid warnings of an escalation of violence in the absence of any international deterrence.
