U.S. Airstrike Kills Senior Leaders in Al-Qaeda

Security and Yemeni sources reported the killing of senior leaders in Al-Qaeda in a U.S. airstrike that targeted a house in Wadi Abida in Marib Governorate, eastern Yemen.
Sources confirmed that the deceased are Abu Ubaida al-Hadhrami and Anis al-Hasli, the latter of whom served as the organization's security chief.
The sources indicated that the airstrike came after a precise and intensive surveillance operation of one of the organization's most important secret hideouts in the area, as part of a series of U.S. airstrikes targeting Al-Qaeda elements in recent times in Marib, Shabwa, and Abyan governorates.
This strike comes just days after the killing of the prominent military leader in the organization, Munir al-Ahdal, known as "Abu al-Hayja al-Hadidi," who was killed in a drone strike that targeted his motorcycle in the Al-Husoon area of Wadi Abida, resulting in his death along with his companion.
Al-Ahdal was responsible for most of Al-Qaeda's military operations in Shabwa and Abyan in recent years.
The recent U.S. airstrikes reflect the ongoing strategy of pressure on Al-Qaeda in Yemen, aiming to dismantle its core leadership and undermine its military and security capabilities in the areas it controls.
