The Turkish Parliament condemned, in a session held yesterday, Wednesday, the Israeli attacks on Syrian territories, considering them a blatant violation of international law and the UN Charter. It reiterated its support for the unity and sovereignty of Syria, and its solidarity with the Syrian people, "friendly and fraternal."

The members voted on an official memorandum, signed by the Parliament Speaker, Mustafa Şentop, and reported by Anadolu Agency, stating: "We strongly condemn the despicable Israeli attacks on Syria, especially on the capital Damascus, and reaffirm our support for its territorial integrity and sovereignty. We reiterate our solidarity with the friendly and fraternal Syrian people who have suffered greatly for many years, and our opposition to anything that threatens their security."

The memorandum also added that the stability of Syria is a decisive factor in achieving regional peace, warning that the escalation of aggression "only serves Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his cohorts who have built their existence on bloodshed and conflict."

Israel was also accused of using these attacks to "distract attention from the genocide it is committing against the Palestinian people," emphasizing that its violations exacerbate regional crises and threaten global security.

In conclusion, the Turkish Parliament called on the international community to "raise its voice and take effective and decisive measures" against Israeli policies, considering its silence "unjustified" and a "encouragement for Israel to continue its unlawful and reckless aggression."
