Turkey Welcomes the Roadmap for Sweida and Affirms Its Support for the Stability of Syria and the Unity of Its Territories

This Turkish stance came after the tripartite meeting that brought together Syrian Foreign Minister Faisal Mekdad, his Jordanian counterpart Ayman Safadi, and U.S. envoy Thomas Barak, where a six-step roadmap was reached that includes holding aggressors accountable, ensuring the flow of aid, compensating the affected, restoring services, protecting roads, and revealing the fate of the missing.
The Turkish statement described the initiative as a "constructive step towards preventing the resurgence of conflict in southern Syria," and confirmed that Ankara will continue to support everything that ensures the safety of all components of the Syrian people, within the framework of a comprehensive political solution.
