Turkey describes Israel's interception of the "Freedom Fleet" as a "terrorist act"

The Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs described on Wednesday the Israeli navy's interception of the "Freedom Fleet" heading to break the siege on the Gaza Strip as a "terrorist act that endangers the lives of innocent civilians".
It confirmed that the Israeli attack in international waters represents a blatant violation of international law, noting that the fleet was carrying humanitarian aid and operating for peaceful purposes.
Ankara emphasized that Israeli policies under Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu are not limited to Palestinians alone, but include anyone resisting the siege, calling on the United Nations and international organizations to act immediately to lift the siege and ensure freedom of navigation and the entry of aid into Gaza.
It is worth mentioning that the Freedom Fleet announced it was attacked by about 10 Israeli ships, describing what happened as a "war crime," while the International Committee to Break the Siege confirms that some ships were actually stormed by the Israeli navy.
