Trump's Disappointment After Being Denied the Nobel Peace Prize and the White House Comments

The Norwegian Nobel Committee disappointed former U.S. President Donald Trump after he failed to win the Nobel Peace Prize for 2025, despite his repeated public efforts and pressure on the committee, claiming that he contributed to ending eight international conflicts in a short period, the latest of which was the Gaza War.
Timing of the Decision and Its Reasons
The "New York Post" reported that the committee's decision was made last Monday, just two days before the announcement of a ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas and the release of hostages, which made Trump ineligible for the prize this year.
Some critics pointed out that his controversial actions, such as bombing Iranian nuclear facilities, his talk about buying Greenland, and his suggestion to rename the Department of Defense to the "Department of War," contributed to his not being chosen as a peacemaker.
White House and Trump's Reaction
White House Communications Director Stephen Chung commented: > "President Trump will continue to make peace agreements, end wars, and save lives. He has a humanitarian heart, and there will be no one like him who can move mountains with his willpower."
He added: "The Nobel Committee has proven that it prefers politics over peace."
For his part, Trump expressed his displeasure, describing his denial of the prize as a "great insult to America," emphasizing before the United Nations General Assembly that everyone says he deserves the Nobel Peace Prize.
Attempts to Win the Prize
Since returning to the White House, Trump has pressured the Norwegian committee to win the prize, repeatedly claiming that he ended eight long-standing global conflicts in various places, such as Congo and Rwanda, Cambodia and Thailand, India and Pakistan, Serbia and Kosovo, Egypt and Ethiopia, and Azerbaijan and Armenia.
A source close to Trump indicated that his victory would have been a surprise, with the possibility that his chances would be greater next year.
Expert and Ally Evaluations
Some of Trump's allies emphasize that he deserves the prize for his role in establishing peace, while critics believe that a combination of his controversial actions and the timing of his achievements prevented him from being awarded the prize this year.
