U.S. President Donald Trump said on Wednesday that military operations against Iran have led to the destruction of a large part of its naval capabilities, confirming that oil tankers can now use the Strait of Hormuz.

Trump added that the United States "eliminated all Iranian minesweeping ships in one night," noting that Iran has also lost its naval capabilities and does not possess aircraft capable of changing the balance of confrontation.

The U.S. President explained that his country has managed to eliminate Iranian naval defenses in an unprecedented manner, asserting that Tehran is "paying a heavy price" as a result of ongoing operations.

In a related context, Trump emphasized the need to eliminate Hezbollah, considering it "a disaster for a long time."

Trump also criticized Spain's position, stating that the Spanish side is not cooperating with Washington and hinted at the possibility of halting trade dealings with it.
