Al Ahly Club has decided to impose financial penalties on its players after the team's recent decline in results in the local league, in a move aimed at motivating the players to improve their performance in upcoming matches.
According to the decision, the club's management decided to deduct 30% from the players' salaries, in addition to suspending 25% of the value of their contracts, following a series of results that have caused dissatisfaction among the coaching staff and fans.
Al Ahly, which is the most decorated club in Egypt, is preparing for a decisive match against Tunisian club Esperance in the quarter-finals of the African Champions League, in a highly anticipated match that could determine the team's path in this season's continental competition.
