Trump expresses his dissatisfaction with the slow resolution of the Ukrainian conflict

U.S. President Donald Trump expressed his dissatisfaction with the slow progress in efforts to resolve the Ukrainian conflict, considering that "the ongoing hatred between the parties to the conflict" continues to hinder a solution.
Trump said in an interview with Fox News that he was surprised by the lack of seriousness on the part of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in pushing for negotiations, adding that a resolution requires "two sides to dance," referring to the differing positions of Zelensky and his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin.
Trump had met with Putin in Alaska in mid-August, where they discussed ways to end the war, describing the meeting as positive, while Putin confirmed at the time that Moscow is seeking a long-term settlement.
