The White House Strongly Rejects Global Governance of Artificial Intelligence

The White House announced on Friday its firm rejection of the idea of global governance for artificial intelligence, emphasizing that any international management to oversee these technologies will not receive its approval.
In a related context, Dario Amodei, CEO of Anthropic, stated that the rapid development of artificial intelligence technologies could surpass the cognitive abilities of most humans in many areas within a few years, potentially leading to a radical shift in the global economy and labor market.
Amodei explained that artificial intelligence has seen accelerated growth over the past decade, referring to what he called the "Law of AI Moore," in reference to the increasing pace of computing and machine learning capabilities.
He added: "This trajectory has seen tremendous progress, and it will not be long before intelligent models reach cognitive levels that exceed human capabilities across a wide range of tasks."
This announcement comes at a time when the world is witnessing an unprecedented acceleration in the development of artificial intelligence, amid intense discussions about the need for international regulation of these technologies to ensure their safety and impact on societies and the global economy.
