Telegram Responds to Russia: Message Encryption is Completely Secure

In response to accusations from the Russian government, the messaging app "Telegram" confirmed that it has not recorded any breaches of its message encryption, thus denying claims that foreign intelligence agencies are able to access Russian soldiers' messages through the app.
Telegram's response to a request for comment from Reuters stated:
"The Russian government's claim that our encryption has been compromised is a deliberate lie, aimed at justifying the ban on Telegram and forcing citizens to use a state-controlled messaging platform designed for surveillance and mass monitoring."
This statement comes at a time when the app continues to maintain its stance on privacy and user data protection, amid rising tensions over the use of foreign apps in Russia.
