The U.S. Supreme Court Upholds Trump's Immigration Policies and Allows Arrests of Illegal Immigrants

The U.S. Supreme Court issued a ruling on Monday that allows authorities to continue arresting individuals suspected of being illegal immigrants by lifting a lower court's ruling that prevented the detention of individuals "without sufficient grounds."
The decision halts the ruling by Judge Mami Frimpong issued on July 11, which deemed the Trump administration's policies a violation of the Fourth Amendment of the U.S. Constitution, which prohibits unreasonable searches and seizures. The Supreme Court did not provide any additional clarifications regarding its decision.
The ruling has drawn widespread criticism from Democrats, particularly California Governor Gavin Newsom, who described the court as having "become a tool for showcasing racial intimidation in Los Angeles," while Trump administration's Secretary of Homeland Security, Pam Bondi, called the decision a "major victory."
It is worth noting that the arrests and deportations in California have sparked a wave of protests that turned into riots and unrest, prompting the Trump administration to deploy the National Guard and Marines in June to control the situation.
