The Syrian Ministry of Education launches a comprehensive plan to reform education.

The Ministry of Education in Syria has unveiled the "Rapid Response Plan and Strategic Path for the Future of Education," aiming to address current challenges and lay a solid foundation for the development of the educational process in the upcoming phase.
The plan is the result of intensive efforts by the ministry, including urgent measures to address the current situation, along with a long-term strategy that touches on all aspects of the educational system.
The plan covers aspects related to students, teachers, curricula, infrastructure, vocational education, digital transformation, and administrative reform.
During the launch event held at the ministry building in Damascus, with the presence of central directors, Education Minister Dr. Mohammad Abdul Rahman Turk emphasized that this plan represents the "compass guiding the ministry's operations," stressing that the "Supreme Council of Education" will be responsible for setting educational policies, including education directors from provinces and experts from the Ministry of Higher Education.
The minister highlighted the significant importance given to students in the plan, ensuring educational continuity, providing psychological and social support, focusing on child protection, reintegrating school dropouts, reducing educational wastage, and empowering students intellectually and digitally.
Regarding teachers, the minister mentioned that the plan aims to improve their financial and moral conditions, provide continuous training and professional development, open avenues for international cooperation, and attract global expertise.
The meeting witnessed extensive discussions by the attendees, who presented a range of purposeful interventions and proposals to enhance the effectiveness of the plan and ensure its success in achieving the desired objectives.
