The German envoy to Syria, Stefan Schenik, said today, Wednesday, that the Director General of the Middle East Department at the German Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development, Kristin Töpfer, exchanged fruitful views with the Syrian Foreign Minister, Asaad al-Shaaban, regarding expanding German-Syrian cooperation.

Schenik added via "X": "Germany is ready to stand by Syria for the reconstruction of a comprehensive and peaceful future."

Last week, Syrian Foreign Minister Asaad al-Shaaban discussed cooperation between Syria and Germany with Kristin Töpfer, in addition to working on exchanging expertise.
