The Suspect in the Murder of Charlie Kirk is Transferred to a Special Monitoring Unit in Utah Prison

American media reports indicate that authorities in Utah have transferred Tyler Robinson, the suspect in the murder of right-wing political activist Charlie Kirk, to a special unit within the prison that is subject to strict monitoring procedures.
TMZ reported from the spokesperson for the Utah County Sheriff's Office that Robinson "is currently in a secure unit under close observation," explaining that psychiatrists are conducting an assessment to determine whether he poses a risk to himself or others.
For his part, Utah Governor Spencer Cox confirmed that Robinson has not yet confessed to the crime and is not cooperating with ongoing investigations.
The police had arrested Robinson on the evening of September 11 after his father turned him in to the authorities, following his confession to the murder. In later statements, former President Donald Trump expressed hope for the conviction of the accused and sentencing him to death.
