Romania summons Russian ambassador in protest against "violation of its airspace" by a drone

The Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs summoned the Russian ambassador in Bucharest, Vladimir Lipayev, today, Sunday, and presented him with a note of protest regarding what it described as a violation of the country's airspace by a Russian drone.
The Romanian Foreign Ministry stated in a statement that the incident represents "a violation of Romania's sovereignty," demanding that Moscow take measures to prevent its recurrence in the future.
The Romanian Ministry of Defense had announced that a drone, believed to be Russian, breached Romania's airspace on Saturday before leaving towards Ukraine. Following this, two F-16 fighter jets from the Romanian Air Force, along with two Eurofighter Typhoon jets from the German Air Force, took off to monitor the situation.
No official comment has yet been issued from the Russian side regarding these accusations.
