During the proceedings of the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York, the President of the Syrian Arab Republic, Ahmad Al-Shara', met with a group of world leaders, most notably U.S. President Donald Trump during the reception he hosted, attended by his wife Melania Trump.
