The Secretary General of the Council of Europe Expresses Concern Over Developments in the Middle East War

The Secretary General of the Council of Europe, Alain Péricard, expressed his deep concern on Wednesday over the rapid developments in Iran and the Middle East amid ongoing military escalation.

Péricard stated that the uncertainty regarding the course of the war raises widespread concern among European countries, noting that the international community does not yet know where this confrontation may lead.

The Secretary General of the Council of Europe emphasized that international law and diplomatic dialogue should be the basis for resolving conflicts, urging all parties to work towards de-escalation and return to the political path.

He added that European countries have not yet participated in the ongoing operations in the Middle East, but they have expressed solidarity with the countries affected by the repercussions of the conflict in the region.
