The curriculum vitae of the new Syrian Minister of Information, Hamza Mustafa.

Dr. Hamza Mustafa (born 1985) has extensive experience in media and academic research. He previously served as the General Manager of Syria TV Network from mid-2020 until his appointment as a minister.
Mustafa worked as an editorial supervisor at Arab Television - London (2019–2020) and as an editor for "Arab Policies" magazine (2011–2018).
The new minister holds a Bachelor's degree in Political Science from Damascus University (2007) and pursued a Master's degree in International Relations at the same university before being dismissed in 2012 due to his support for the Syrian revolution.
Mustafa later completed a Master's degree in Political Science and International Relations at the Doha Institute for Graduate Studies (2017) and obtained a Ph.D. in Social Sciences from the University of Exeter in the United Kingdom.
In addition to his media work, Mustafa worked as a researcher at the Arab Center for Research and Policy Studies in Doha, and published several peer-reviewed books and research papers, including: "The Virtual Public Sphere in the Syrian Revolution: Characteristics, Trends, and Mechanisms of Opinion Formation".
Mustafa also contributed to the writing of "The Kurdish Issue in Syria: Reality, History, and Narratives" and "Revolution Backgrounds: Syrian Studies".
On March 29, 2025, Dr. Hamza Mustafa was appointed as the Minister of Information in the new Syrian government formation.
