In a shocking incident that shook the Alexandria governorate and all sports circles, security sources revealed details about the murder of the champion of Smouha Club in judo Dina Alaa , whose body was found in her apartment with three gunshot wounds.

According to initial investigations, her husband was found injured by a gunshot next to her inside the house, and their young child was present at the time of the incident.
Investigations confirmed that the husband shot his wife and then shot himself in an attempted suicide, and he was taken to the hospital in critical condition.

The examination revealed that Dina Alaa's body bore three gunshot wounds, while the weapon used in the crime was found next to the injured husband.
Spent cartridges were collected and fingerprints were lifted from the crime scene, based on the directives of the prosecution, which sought the forensic doctor to autopsy the deceased's body.

In developments of the incident, the public prosecution issued a permit to bury Dina's body after the autopsy was completed, and the body was handed over to her family, who buried her in a sorrowful ceremony amidst deep pain and grief.

Investigative authorities in Alexandria continue to gather evidence and listen to eyewitnesses to fully determine the circumstances and causes of the incident.

For its part, Smouha Club, headed by Engineer Mohamed Farag Amer, mourned the late judo player Dina Alaa, expressing deep sorrow and regret for this tragic loss.
The club confirmed in an official statement published on its page:
"With hearts believing in God's decree and destiny, we mourn the club and sports' deceased player Dina Alaa, who has passed away to God's mercy, and we ask God to envelop her in His vast mercy and grant her a place in His spacious gardens, and to inspire her family and loved ones with patience and solace."

The statement added that Dina Alaa's death represents a great loss for the club and Egyptian sports, due to her high morals and exceptional skills both on and off the mat.
