The Malian government announced the death of the defense minister in an attack targeting his residence in the Kati area.

The casualty toll has also risen to 23 dead among civilians and military personnel due to the recent series of attacks.

The military council urged citizens not to succumb to division or chaos, given the sensitive security conditions the country is experiencing.
