The European Union Lists the Iranian Revolutionary Guard as a Terrorist Organization

The EU's foreign policy chief, Kaia Kalas, announced today, Thursday, that the bloc has listed the Iranian Revolutionary Guard as a terrorist organization.

Kalas wrote on the "X" platform: "Repressive policies cannot go unanswered... EU foreign ministers have just taken a decisive step by listing the Iranian Revolutionary Guard as a terrorist organization."

A Firm Stance Against Repression

Kalas added: "Any regime that kills thousands of its own people is accelerating its own demise."

This step comes amid increasing European pressure on Iran due to the Revolutionary Guard's involvement in suppressing protesters and human rights violations, as well as its support for controversial political and military positions on the international stage.
