Algerian President Communicates with Gulf Leaders and Jordan to Support Security in the Middle East

In a move that confirms Algeria's supportive role for regional peace and stability, Algerian President AbdelmadjidTebboune conducted a series of important phone calls yesterday, Sunday, March 1, 2026, with leaders of several Arab countries to discuss the security situation in the Middle East.
In his first call, President Tebboune spoke with the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia Mohammed bin Salman, where he inquired about his personal situation and the health of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, as well as the brotherly Saudi people during these critical circumstances the region is experiencing.
President Tebboune emphasized during the conversation his "hope for the return of peace and security as soon as possible."
The Algerian president also made a phone call to King of Jordan Abdullah II, during which they discussed the situation in the region and its impacts on the Jordanian people, expressing his wish for calm and peace to return to the kingdom and the entire region.
In Qatar, Tebboune had a call with the Emir of the State Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, expressing his full support for Qatari mediation efforts to stop the escalation, and affirming his hope for a "swift return to tranquility and peace in the region."
The Algerian president also reached out to Oman, where he spoke with Sultan Haitham bin Tariq, praising the role of Omani mediation and the positive results achieved, expressing his hope for the return of security, peace, and tranquility to the region.
In conclusion of the series of calls, Tebboune communicated with the Emir of the State of Kuwait Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, affirming his support for the urgent establishment of peace and security that safeguards the interests and safety of the brotherly Kuwaiti people.
