Israel Launches Strikes on Hezbollah in Lebanon After Rockets Fired Toward Haifa

The Israeli army announced this morning, Monday, that it has launched a wide wave of strikes on Hezbollah sites "across Lebanon," following the Iran-backed group firing rockets and drones toward northern Israel.
The Israeli army stated in an official statement: "In response to Hezbollah firing projectiles toward the State of Israel, our forces began striking targets belonging to the terrorist organization Hezbollah throughout Lebanon."
Additionally, the army reported that sirens sounded in northern Israel, and the air force intercepted one of the projectiles, while others fell in open areas, with no reports of injuries or damage.
For its part, local sources confirmed Israeli strikes on the southern suburbs of Beirut, amid intense flying of Israeli warplanes in the skies of southern Lebanon.
Israeli Channel 12 reported that the wave of strikes will continue in the coming days in response to the rocket fire from Lebanon.
In contrast, the Lebanese Hezbollah announced that it targeted the Mishmar HaCarmel site south of Haifa with six rockets and drones, considering this a "warning response to the ongoing Israeli aggression for the past 15 months and the assassination of Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei."
The Secretary-General of Hezbollah Na'im Qassem had previously confirmed that the group would confront the aggression, following his mourning of the Iranian Supreme Leader after his death in an American-Israeli attack last Saturday.
In a provocative move, the Iranian Revolutionary Guard published a video showing a rocket fired by Hezbollah toward Israel, indicating that "Yemen will participate in the battle within hours, through their Houthi allies who regularly launch rockets toward Israeli territory."
Events are accelerating in a concerning manner, as the region anticipates the repercussions of this escalating confrontation between Israel and Hezbollah, which threatens to widen the conflict in the Middle East.
