American sources revealed a tense phone call between U.S. President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, following Hamas's announcement of its conditional acceptance of Trump's peace plan for Gaza.
According to what was reported by Axios, Trump considered Hamas's response a political opportunity that should be seized, while Netanyahu expressed strong reservations, stating that the response "is not worth celebrating and means nothing," prompting Trump to respond angrily:
"I don't understand why you are being so negative. This is a win, accept it."
In a later interview, Trump clarified that he informed Netanyahu that this moment represents "his opportunity for victory," adding that the Israeli Prime Minister eventually agreed to the position, albeit reluctantly.
