California Governor announced on Sunday evening that he is about to file a lawsuit against the administration of U.S. President Donald Trump, in protest against the decision to send 300 National Guard members to Oregon without prior coordination with state governments.

The governor considered this step to be an overreach of federal authority, emphasizing that his government will not stand idly by in the face of what he described as a "constitutional violation," confirming that legal actions will begin soon.

This escalation comes amid increasing tensions between some Democratic states and the federal administration, against the backdrop of security decisions related to the protests and unrest occurring in various areas of the West Coast.

For its part, the Trump administration defended the decision, considering that sending the National Guard aims to enhance security and stability in Oregon, amid warnings of escalating violence.
