5.2 Magnitude Earthquake Hits Istanbul and Causes Panic

The Turkish Earthquake Monitoring Institute announced today, Thursday, that an earthquake measuring 5.19 on the Richter scale occurred in various regions of Turkey, including the city of Istanbul.
A witness told Reuters that the earthquake caused buildings to shake and created a state of panic among residents, while the Turkish Disaster and Emergency Management Authority reported that the tremor's strength was about five degrees.
So far, there have been no reports of casualties or significant material damage, while authorities continue to assess the situation to take necessary measures.
