Minister of Communications of Syria, Abdul Salam Haykal, discussed on Monday with the Ambassador of Bahrain, Waeed Mubarak Sayyar, ways to enhance cooperation in the telecommunications and information technology sector. The Ministry of Communications stated on its Telegram channel: "The Minister welcomed the partnership with Bahrain to develop the sector, pointing out the ministry's focus on using technology to improve citizens' lives through electronic government services that reduce costs and time." It added: "The meeting reviewed the ministry's development projects, noting the flow of international investments after the lifting of sanctions." The ministry concluded by saying: "The Bahraini Ambassador expressed his country's readiness to support Syria in developing the infrastructure of the e-government and sharing Bahrain's experience in providing electronic services to citizens. He also proposed cooperation in exchanging expertise and supporting startups, confirming that Bahrain is a regional hub for financial and digital services."
