The Syrian Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research announced on Wednesday a new decision that allows students who have previously been accepted or enrolled in a public university and who applied this year with a high school diploma (2025 cycle) to reapply for the general admission process.

The ministry confirmed that this procedure is conditional upon the student canceling their previous enrollment in accordance with the regulations after the university admission results are announced, to prevent multiple enrollments in universities.

It clarified that the aim of the decision is to provide students with the opportunity to improve their academic choices in line with their new preferences while ensuring the organization of the university admission process according to the established legal regulations.
