The Syrian Minister of Energy and Croatia Discuss Enhancing Cooperation in the Oil, Gas, and Electricity Sector

The Syrian Minister of Energy, Mohammad Al-Bashir, discussed with the Croatian Foreign Minister, Gordan Grlić Radman, and his accompanying delegation, ways to develop bilateral cooperation between the two countries in the field of energy.
Minister Al-Bashir emphasized during the meeting "Syria's keenness to expand areas of cooperation with friendly countries, especially in the fields of oil, gas, and electricity, which contributes to rehabilitating infrastructure and improving the level of services provided to citizens," reviewing "the challenges faced by the energy sector due to the current circumstances."
For his part, the Croatian minister expressed his country's interest in partnering with Syria, stating: "pointing to the importance of exchanging experiences and benefiting from the capabilities available to Croatian companies in the fields of exploration, production, and network development," and also expressed his country's interest in opening new horizons for cooperation with Syria in the energy sector.
The meeting focused on the reality of the energy sector in Syria and the available opportunities to enhance cooperation, especially within the framework of reconstruction efforts and infrastructure development.
