The Syrian Anti-Drug Administration carried out a security operation in Homs province today, Thursday, in cooperation with Iraqi authorities, resulting in the arrest of two individuals wanted internationally, namely "T.H" and "U.D", in addition to seizing a large quantity of drugs amounting to about 300,000 Captagon pills that were on their way to be smuggled.
The authorities announced that the seized items were confiscated, and the detainees were referred to the competent judicial authorities for further investigation, in a step aimed at enhancing national efforts to curb drug trafficking and secure the borders.
Officials indicated that the operation is part of a series of joint campaigns between Syria and neighboring countries to track drug networks and pursue those involved in illegal trade.
