Minister Badr highlighted Norway's role in supporting the Syrian people in all areas and explained the Ministry of Transport's strategic vision for long-term development of the sector to serve the Syrian people. He also outlined the basic needs of the transport sector in Syria that must be met promptly to achieve sustainable transport services, including improving public transport, digitizing transport services such as vehicle registration and driver certificates, ensuring vehicle compliance with standards, establishing a digital platform to streamline paper transactions, ensuring road safety, especially with the influx of a large number of vehicles into Syria post-liberation. The Norwegian Ambassador expressed her country's desire to build partnerships to support the Syrian people in various fields, including transport, emphasizing the importance of public transport, digitization, road safety, and the necessity of support and collaboration in this area.
