Sudanese Defenses Shoot Down Drones in Al-Obeid and Warnings of Humanitarian Consequences

Military sources announced that Sudanese air defenses shot down three drones belonging to the Rapid Support Forces early Saturday, which were targeting military and civilian sites in the city of Al-Obeid in Sudan.

The region has recently witnessed an escalation in clashes between the warring parties, resulting in casualties among civilians and military personnel amid ongoing security tensions.

For its part, Doctors Without Borders warned of the violent consequences of airstrikes on the population and infrastructure, noting the increasing pressure on health facilities and the difficulty of reaching those affected in combat areas.
