Spain rejects Israel's proposal regarding the displacement of Gaza residents.

The Spanish Foreign Minister, Jose Manuel Albares, said: "We strongly reject the proposal of the Israeli Defense Minister, Yisrael Katz, regarding Spain receiving Palestinians in case they are displaced from the Gaza Strip."
Albares added: "The land of Gaza belongs to its residents, and Gaza must be part of the future Palestinian state," pointing out that no one should interfere in discussing where Palestinians, especially the residents of Gaza, should go, as the residents of Gaza themselves have closed this discussion.
He emphasized that the residents of Gaza own this geographical piece in Palestine, a belief held by most of the world, including Spain and about 150 countries that recognize the state of Palestine, explaining that Spain, Ireland, and Norway - which recognized the Palestinian state last year - are legally obligated to allow any resident of Gaza to enter their territories.
It is worth mentioning that the administration of US President Donald Trump plans to take control of Gaza, relocate its residents to other places, and turn the area into the "Middle East Riviera," as he claims.
